22 May 2013: The latest enrolment statistics for April are now available. The monthly statistics include an update on the AEC's direct enrolment and update process and enrolment statistics by state and electoral division. A fact sheet on the direct enrolment and update process is also available.
15 May 2013: The national federal enrolment figures as at 31 March 2013 are now available. These figures are published on a quarterly basis for all states and territories and includes an updated enrolment participation rate which is calculated using an estimate of the total number of people eligible to enrol.
9 May 2013: The Government has announced that it is planning to hold a referendum on recognition of local government in the Australian Constitution at the same time as the federal election planned for 14 September 2013. The Australian Electoral Commission will be making the necessary preparations to conduct the referendum ballot with the election.
