The Tally Board

The Tally Board is a periodical of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) designed to provide information about AEC programs, activities and electoral issues.

In undertaking our role in administering the Commonwealth Electoral Act, the AEC needs to interact with a wide range of people and organisations. As well as electors, the AEC works with political parties, Members of Parliament, Senators and their staff, State Electoral Commissions and media representatives.

The objective of The Tally Board is:

  • to provide a periodic update of key electoral issues and developments
  • to publish relevant information to our readership audience
  • to enable the AEC to communicate with its stakeholders and promote good working relationships.

In launching The Tally Board, the AEC intends to engage with our stakeholders on a regular basis to keep them informed about the AEC’s programs and activities, receive their feedback and ensure the AEC continues to keep up to date while discharging its responsibilities under the Commonwealth Electoral Act.
