Interested parties are invited to review a draft statement of requirement (Statement of Requirement) for the provision of fully managed secure internet gateway and web hosting services (Services) to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Draft Statement of Requirement for Mainframe Services
The AEC is preparing request documentation for an open approach to the market for mainframe services.
The draft Statement of Requirement provided below has been published to help inform industry of the AEC's requirements. This will assist industry plan for any approach to the market. The AEC invites feedback and comments on the draft Statement of Requirement. Feedback and comments should be provided to the AEC by 2.00pm on to 20 November 2008.
The AEC has been approached by possible suppliers of mainframe services who have asked whether the AEC would consider unsolicited proposals to provide mainframe services.
The AEC will seriously consider any unsolicited proposals to provide mainframe services. However, any unsolicited proposals to provide mainframe services would need to be received by 2:00pm on 20 November 2008.

Please note that on 11 November 2008, a revised version (Version 3) was distributed to interested parties. No changes were made to the existing text provided in Version 2, but additional information has been provided including:
- answers to questions from interested parties, and
- information on service levels and capacity usage and projection.
It is likely that there will be one more version uploaded to this location before COB on 14 November 2008.
